Struggling to find the perfect copy to get your Page visitors to leave their contact details?

You're not alone! Talk to any web designer or marketer, getting “form fills” (as they say) are the holy grail.

As a creator, artist, or influencer, collecting emails and phone numbers is critical to making a deeper connection with your followers and building a foundation to communicate directly with your audience. No algorithm determining who and when gets to see your posts.

Think of collecting emails and phone numbers as building a direct line of communication with your fans. There’s so much potential!

Your Hype Page makes it easy to collect phone numbers and emails with the Signup Block, but determining what copy to put in that block can be difficult.

Here are some tips to help you create an irresistible offer that will encourage your visitors to leave their contact information.

1. Offer Exclusive Content

Offer your visitors exclusive content. This could be anything from a free e-book or guide to a discount code for your products or services.Make sure that the content you offer is valuable and relevant to your audience.

An example:

Subscribe to my mailing list to get my free social media template pack.

2. Build a Waitlist

Another great way to entice visitors to leave their contact information is to offer them early access to new products, services, or content through a waitlist. This is a great strategy if you;re trying to build excitement for a future release.

An example:

Join the waitlist and be the first to hear about new releases.

3. Giveaways and Contests

We’re all suckers for free stuff – so use that to your advantage! Offering a prize in exchange for contact information is a great way to encourage visitors to leave their information. Make sure that the prize is relevant to your audience and something that they would actually want to win.

Jumping back to offer #1 in this list – using your own products or services as the prize is a great way to promote yourself AND save cash. Pro tip: Add the $ value of the product or service you’re giving away.

An example:

Subscribe for the chance to get a free consultation ($150 Value).

4. Personalized Recommendations

Here’s a truth: you have a unique perspective and expertise in your content niche. Use this to your advantage by offering personalized recommendations to your subscribers. This could be anything from book recommendations to personalized skincare routines. Think of this a shortcut to #1 on this list. Don’t have any exclusive content to offer? Offer your option on things relevant to your audience.

Plus, personal recommendations directly from you, the creator, build trust with your audience and keep them engaged.

An example:

Drop your email below for my top 12 skincare product recommendations.

5. Exclusive Events

There’s no better way to build community around your following than an exclusive event – it’s also a great reason for a visitor to share their contact information. The event could be anything from a virtual workshop to a meet and greet event. It doesn’t even have to be in the near future. Just make sure that the event is relevant to your audience and something that they would want to attend.

An example:

Join my mailing list for exclusive invites to my upcoming coaching sessions.

6. Contact Form

Use your signup block as a contact form. Inform interested visitors to leave their contact information to get in touch with you. This is best if you’re interested in building leads for your business, not to build a newsletter or mailing list.

An example:

Want to work together? Drop your contact information below. I’ll reach out!

7. Stay in Touch

The most basic, and generic offer – and it comes last in our list – is offering to “Stay in Touch.” You’ve probably seen this before and while it is general and non-specific, it can be effective at collecting emails from interested visitors. The key: provide a reason to stay in touch. That can be anything from the list above, or something specific to your content niche.

An example:

Leave your email below to stay in touch. I’ll send updates here and there!

Once you have crafted your Signup Block offer, it's important to make sure that it is prominently displayed on your Page. Some of the best places to place the block are at the top or bottom, so that visitors can easily find it.

And remember to share your Page with your audience! Even the best crafted offer is worthless if no one sees it. Post a story, add your Page link to your bio, make a reel – the options are endless. Sharing is the fastest way to grow your contacts.
